What are microlinks?
Also known as a I-Tip Extensions or Microbead Extensions, microlinks are single strand extensions that gives you length and lots of fullness. There is also another weft version that some people refer to as “microlinks” however this method uses 1 gram strands of hair that connects to the base in rows using copper micro beads. Like fusion extensions, microlinks are individually installed and is great for dense hair. They are among one of the best ways to blend your natural hair with hair extensions. With this installation method, we use 100% Human Double Drawn or Raw hair depending on your texture. After the hair is installed, it is blended, layered, and styled to perfection!

Who are microlinks for?
This method is for people with medium to thick hair who are good at taking care of their hair and want more natural, free flowing hair extensions. This method is ideal for finer hair textures because the beads can be exposed with minimal movement.
What type of hair is needed?
The best type of hair you can purchase is pure virgin remy hair so for that, we use our European Double Drawn I-Tip Extensions or our Raw Burmese I-Tip Extensions. Our hair collection is extensive. We haven’t met a texture that we can’t match!
How many pieces do I need for i tip hair extensions?
The average installation is 100 to 300 strands depending on density, length and fullness that you’re searching for. Booking a consultation is the only way to get the most accurate amount that’s needed for your hair.
How long does it take to install microlinks?
Microlink i-tip extensions usually takes about 3-5 hours from start to finish.
How long do microlinks last?
Microlinks last about 3-6 months on average with maintenance appointments done every 6-8 weeks. Longevity of installation depends on regular maintenance appointments, at home care, and hair growth.
Risks
If installed properly, micro link extensions will not damage your hair. What damages your hair is poor maintenance and heat damage from styling tools at home. Excessive scratching can cause soreness of the scalp.
Side Effects
Because of tension from the microbead installation, the first day or so, you may feel tightness and temporary headaches. A simple pain reliever before installation and before bed can alleviate some of the tension and will ease with continuous wear.
Maintenance
Maintenance on your extensions is required every 6 to 8 weeks. If you have 1 fingers width of regrowth, then tightening is needed. With tightening, the bead is removed, replaced at the base and the i-tip strand is repositioned to the top. It is similar to a new installation. The beads are changed at every 3rd move up.
Removal
If your hair has grown to it’s desired length and fullness or you want a break from this extension method, the removal process is usually less than two hours. The bead and strand are removed, your hair is properly detangled, washed and blown dry.
